This mural was commissioned as part of a photographic exhibition in commemoration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, in partnership with CentroRegional Ramsar para la Capacitación e Investigación sobre Humedales en el Hemisferio Occidental (CREHO), Secretaría Nacional deCiencias, Tecnología e Innovación (SENACYT), the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI), the Fundación Ciudad del Saber, Patronato PanamáViejo, Sociedad Audubon de Panamá and the Centro de Incidencia Ambiental.

The mural titled "The Mangrove: A Space for Everyone" is meant to inform the viewer the different types of mangroves and its inhabitants, as well as answering important questions to encourage their safeguarding such as, "how do humans depend on mangroves?"
